A Letter From Go-kun To Sakamoto-kun From TBS's "Utaban" (November 3, 1998) (This is a translation of a letter Go-kun wrote to Sakamoto-kun on the music show "Utaban". The letter was taken from a Japanese fan page, NATURAL.) To Sakamoto-kun, I'm sure that Sakamoto-kun hasn't forgotten either. The day one full year after V6 was created. I was late after being called to the manager's house. The staff scolded me for being late because I slept in. When I sulked and replied, "Shut up," at that moment Sakamoto-kun grabbed my hair and yelled, "What's with that attitude!" It's embarassing, but at that moment, I cried in front of everyone. "Even Sakamoto-kun doesn't understand me," that was truly painful. But now I think, the one who didn't understand was me. Since I caused people problems, I had to truly apologize. That's what Sakamoto-kun was trying to tell me. I've probably made Sakamoto-kun feel uneasy a lot, but I've truly relied on him. Over and over again, when everyone's goofing off I've seen Sakamoto-kun in a corner of the room with his head in his hands. I think that Sakamoto-kun really thinks about V6 more than anyone else. Sakamoto-kun always sees people's strong points and says, "Wow, he's amazing," and stuff like that but the amazing one is Sakamoto-kun, who can always honestly say that someone's "amazing." When I turn 27, I think I'd like to have become someone like Sakamoto-kun. There's still lots that we have to do, so I won't say, "Thank you" yet. From now on, thank you very much. (1) Back | Main |
