V6 Leader's Shuchou "To The Members"
(This is a translation of Sakamoto-kun's Shuchou which aired on the V6 variety show Gakkou e Ikou! The transcript was taken from a Japanese fan page, NATURAL.)

It's already been 4 years since V6 was formed! Today I want to say the things that I haven't be able to say to the other members.

Okada-!! When we debuted, I was focused on the V6 concert plan when you, the youngest of the members, spoke up and said, "We're all members so talk it over with us." Please always be the same sympathetic and kind Okada that you are now!!

Next is Ken!! To Ken, I send out these words: "Be more fit." You're really too delicate in a lot of ways... From now on, I want you to not think about anything and keep moving forward.

Then Go!! About a year and a half after we debuted, you showed up to work late and I yelled at you. At that time, Go, your eyes got all watery and you looked truly hurt as you glared at me. But at that time, I think that I was really able to understand you. Please always be that Go who can say, "I hate it just because I hate it!"

Next, Nagano-!! Lately, I've looked at you bouncing all over the place, and I've seriously thought to myself, "You're really strange..." I think we'll keep being friends for a long time, so thanks very much!!

Then last, Inohara!! I really can't help but respect you. (1) When I was made the leader of V6, I said some strong things to the other members, but only to Inohara did I say, "Sorry, but being the 'leader' is too tough for me and I just can't do it... Won't you be the leader?" Thank you so much... for always being there when I start to lose my temper.

When I became the leader, I thought that I would always support the other members, but instead, they've always supported me. I'm an unreliable leader, but from now on I'll keep doing my job!!

(Extra) Thoughts from the members in the studio (Partially abridged and simplified)

Okada: What kind of show is this... Leader!! I was so moved!!
Sakamoto: Sorry, I moved myself watching it.
Go: Watching the video now, there were things that I understood, and I was surprised... but I'm happy!!
Ken: You can really tell that he's always looked out for us.
Nagano: I've heard him say things like this many times before, but for him to say it like this, I think it really means that we can trust each other. I'm really glad that Sakamoto-kun is our leader.
Inohara: Before we debuted we were always together, doing all sorts of things. I really wanted to be in a group with Sakamoto-kun first, and I was really happy, but once, he quit. He became a salaryman, and I was so upset, and I cried out, "Why did you quit!"... Thinking about that, I'm really glad that the six of us are a group, and I want us to keep it important to us.
Sakamoto: Thanks for everything up until now. And from now on, thanks very much!!

(1) What Sakamoto literally says is, "I can't raise my head to you," a reference to bowing. The idea is that you'd never get up from a bow and raise your head in front of someone who you really respect.
