Seto Osamu
Played by Johnny's Jr. Member Ikuta Touma

Osamu is the self-proclaimed "Happy Guy" of the group (he says it in English, too). We, however, like to fondly refer to him as "Manic-Depressive Guy", as we feel it's probably more appropriate. Most of the time he's absolutely manic, talking constantly, extremely quickly, and very directly. Osamu has no tact, whatsoever, often putting his foot in his mouth, but he's so chipper that it's hard to get too angry with him. However, he can also have extremely sudden fits of depression and rage, making him quite an unusual character. He's the only one of the group who doesn't actually live at the dorm, living at his house nearby. But as his father is always on business trips and his mother is dead, he often spends his days at the dorm instead. This was probably the most no-brainer casting in the history of Johnny's dramas, as what I've seen of Ikuta-kun is EXACTLY like the character of Osamu. Only he could appear on the famous music show "The Yoru mo Hippare", and merrily comment, "It's a whole lot smaller than I thought~!"

*-*-*-*SPOILERS BELOW*-*-*-*

Osamu's mother killed herself when he was in the 1st grade. As he watched, she dropped an electric razor into the bathtub and electrocuted herself. Osamu always blamed himself for his mother's death, and becomes convinced that his mother's vengeful spirit is haunting his house. Eventually, Mitsuhiro, king of suicide guilt, convinces Osamu that his mother's final look wasn't one of blame, but of apology. And with that, he was back to his Happy self. Osamu's serious belief in spirits reappears halfway through the series after Iwatsuki's death. At the very end of the series, Osamu and his father move to America.
