Teteiyus, "Seimaden" [art by Higuri You]
| This image is from the rice-paper insert in Higuri-sensei's artbook "Poison", and there's something exceptionally striking about it. I know I haven't done it justice. While doing the shading here, I was first inclined to title the site "Stained Glass"... the quasi-religious feel and the bold, unifying use of black fit well together. It's a shame the eyes really don't register on a reduced size image such as this. You'll have to take my word that the detail is just astounding. |
