I have a thing for Gundam Wing’s Wufei. (No seriously, the story starts here.) I simply adore him. Wufei is an angry, devoted, obsessed-with-justice, single-minded Chinese swordsman who, after getting defeated, spends the rest of the series seeking revenge in an all-out battle. In other words, he’s perfect. ^_^ And so I was delighted when I opened up Ayashi no Ceres and discovered that Watase-sensei wrote in a character called “Wei Fei” who’s an angry, devoted, obsessed-with-justice, single-minded Chinese swordsman who, after getting defeated, spends the rest of the series seeking revenge in an all-out battle. The character used for “fei” in Wufei’s name is even the same as the character used in the “wei” in Wei Fei’s name. I was in love. I spent months bouncing around and giggling over “Weifu.” Even I didn’t know (or care) which one I referred to in my merriment. I still giggle just thinking about Weifu. Anyway, as one of her earlier skins, Mako-chan made me a beautiful Weifu… er, Wei Fei skin. Not only is this skin really pretty, but it also reminds me that much of what you see at the Senshi Gakuen is made solely because it amuses us. It may not seem like an incredibly deep statement, but a site’s no good if you can’t enjoy yourself. And believe me, we do. Check out Mako-chan’s other amazing Ayashi no Ceres skin here. |
