Yume Iro no Kippu
Dream Colored Ticket
Sung by: Ueno Youko
Translated by: Mina-P (Email: Minako@senshigakuen.com)
Version 2.00
Note: This is the ending theme to the Fushigi Yuugi CD Book #2. For those who know the manga or anime, Book #2 covers about from finding Tasuki to the calling of Suzaku. Not that it really has much to do with the ending song, but that's okay. All of Uena Youko's CD Book ending themes are quite lovely, but this one really took the cake.
anata e no tooi machi e to tabi no shitaku o hajimeta
hana o ima sakase hajimeta kaze ni karada o azukete
yume iro no kippu o motte tsumazukazu kumo o nagamenagara
sagashitsuzuketa kokoro ni mo chigazukeru Ah yokan ga shita
You started preparations for your journey to the distant town
Now the flowers have started to bloom, entrust your body in the wind
Holding your dream colored ticket, don't stumble while gazing at the clouds
And close in the heart that you continued to search for Ah You had a premonition
In the vast, extending earth, there is a dream that melts your heart
Who will you try to tell about it?
taiyou wa towa ni watashi o terashitsuzuketeyuku no ka
oorora no kaaten koete yori tataku hoshi o nagamenagara
okiwasureteta kokoro ni mo chigazukeru Ah yokan ga shita
Will the sun eternally continue to shine on me (1)
Through thick and thin, I meekly continue to love you
Pass through the high aurora's curtain while gazing at the stars
And close in the heart that you left behind Ah You had a premonition
ai o mamoru you ni
In the vast, extending heavens, there is a color that melts your heart
In the vast, extending earth, there is a dream that melts your heart
Like it protects love

~Musical Interlude~ (2)
anata to ikiteyuku tame ni yori motto shiawase de aritai
mioroshita subete no umi to tairiku wa Ah kagayaiteta
In order to live with you, I want to have more happiness
All of the seas and continents that looked down on you were Ah sparkling
ai o mamoru you ni
In the vast, extending earth, there is a dream that melts your heart
Like it protects love
In the vast, extending heavens, there is a color that melts your heart
In the vast, extending earth, there is a dream that melts your heart
(1) Okay. The kanji says eien (eternity), but the singer randomly says towa (eternal). It's almost the same thing, but the word form is slightly different. [shrug]
(2) Why do I have this here? It was in the lyrics. Seriously. Oh well.
Lyrics belong to Kajiwara Shigehito and Shogakukan, taken from the Fushigi Yuugi 2 CD book, WCD-008 (track 23). Not like the words make any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway. Romanized and translated into English very badly by Mina-P, with desperately needed help, as always, by Mako-chan. Any comments or corrections can be mailed to Mina-P at Minako@senshigakuen.com.
