Note: The ninth song from Gackt's wonderful sophomore album, Rebirth. Paparapa for short is possibly my favorite song on the album. I've heard it described as Jungle, but I think of it more as Bond music with garage rock and big band thrown in. But how to label this incredible song isn't the biggest mystery. As you may have noticed, it has one hell of a name. According to an interview, Gackt insists that if you said the title to a quick American, they'd probably get it right away. I'm American, and I've simply decided that poor, poor Gackt-san has cracked under the pressure of the music biz. Not really, but I seriously don't know what the heck the title means. I have a couple different theories, and have heard everything under the sun from people writing in, but I still haven't decided on something that's completely solid. Ah, well. The mystery of Gackt...
