Lyrics, Written, Sung by: Gackt Camui

Version 1.20
Note: The tenth song from Gackt's wonderful sophomore album, Rebirth. When I first heard this song, I got kinda freaked out. Mainly because it sounds a lot like most Luna Sea songs. If you know the band, it's kinda weird. Not bad; just a little odd. ^_^ Anyway, the song is extremely dream-like and almost other-world-ly, and the guitar lines are really amazing. I had several theories running about the title, until a kind e-mail pointed out to me that it probably refers to the fact that the song is written almost entirely in 7/8 time, alternating with some 6/8 and 8/8 as well. Brilliant, that's absolutely true~! No wonder it sounds a bit like Luna Sea; they're the only other musicians I know that would attempt writing songs in such odd time signatures.
garasu no yume ni egaite
sono nukumori ni dakarete
kasuka na koe ni mezamete
"watashi o koko de koroshite..."
Drawn in a glass dream
Embraced by that warmth
Awakened by a distant voice
"Kill me here..."
ukabiagaru sono sugata wa
genjitsu no naka de dore dake motomete mo
boku ni wa modoranai
No matter how much I want
That figure rising up inside of reality
I can't go back
omoidasenai hazu no kieta kioku ga boku o mata kuruwaseteyuku
"wasurenaide" sonna kieta kotoba ga yomigaeru
"kimi wa dare na no..."
The vanished memory that I can't remember is driving me mad again
"Unforgettable" that vanished word revives itself
"Who are you..."
wareta garasu o atsumete
pazuru no you ni awasete
Collecting broken glass
Like a puzzle, driving me mad
furuenagara kono ryoute o chiisaku sashidashite
hikari ni obieta boku wa nukedasenai mama
While trembling, I hold out my hands slightly
I'm scared of the light but I can't sneak out
boku no mune no naka de kieta kimi no kioku dake ga mitsukaranai
kimi no kakera subete hiroiatsume boku wa doko e yukeba ii no
Inside of my heart, only your vanished memory can't be found
Collecting all of your fragments, where should I go? (1)
kiri no naka de boku o mitsumeru
kimi no sono manazashi ga
ima nara mieru
Inside of a mist, I gaze at you
I can see your look
Even now
omoidasenai hazu no kimi no sugata egakinagara... wasurenai you ni
wareta garasu no you ni kimi wa ima mo sakebinagara
zutto boku no naka de
Your smiling figure that I can't remember... like it's unforgettable
Like broken glass, you're screaming now
While always inside of me
"dakishimete..."
"Hold me..."
(1) Just a little note. Instead of the sung word kakera (fragment), the written lyrics say hahen (um, fragment). The meaning is almost exactly the same, although hahen has few more connotations, like being a splinter or broken piece of something. It doesn't change the meaning of the line drastically, but just emphasizes that it's a small part of the whole.
Lyrics belong to Gackt Camui and Nippon Crown, taken from the Rebirth album, CRCP-40001 (track 10). Not like the words make any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway. Romanized and translated into English very badly by Mina-P, with desperately needed help, as always, by Mako-chan. Any comments or corrections can be mailed to Mina-P at Minako@senshigakuen.com.
