WISH

Version 1.00
Note: Ah, nostaligia. For the old days of Luna Sea, when they still wrote out who exactly wrote what, and the lyrics lacked any indication of repeats, and Ryuichi-san's hair looked like utter crap. Ahhhh, good times, good times. In any case, "WISH" is pretty much the Luna Sea theme song. It's not their first single, but it's strangely upbeat and cheery. It's a staple at any Luna Sea concert. I think there's a law written about it somewhere; if Luna Sea doesn't play "WISH" somewhere in the concert, the fans will revolt in the streets. It's also the last song played as the last encore at their final concert. T_T "WISH" indeed...
I wish for... konna yoru ni wa, yume mite,
I wish for... nakushita subete ni, ima mo.
I wish for... in this night, I dream,
I wish for... everything is lost, even now.
tameiki ga toki o kizamu nagai yoru no tochuu
omoidasu tabi anata no yume furikaesu
kodoku dake dakishimete
eien o hoshigattemo setsuna o kanjiteru
BLUE na kimochi chiribameta toki no naka
kotae sae nai mama de
A sigh carves through time in the middle of the long night
Every time I remember your dream repeats in my mind
I embrace only loneliness
Even if you want eternity it feels like an instant
Inside of time set with BLUE feelings
There's not even answers
hitori kiri no jibun ga ita kurai meiro no naka
jibun no ibasho sae mo mada wakarazu ni
yuki basho mo wakarazu ni
ashita sae kowagatteita sameta hitomi no mama
dakedo ima wa surikireta kono yume o
yasashiku dakishimete
You are all alone, by yourself in a gloomy labyrinth
You don't even know where you are yet
Don't even know where you're going
Even tomorrow scared you with its cold eyes
But now this worn-out dream
Is being held gently
I wish for... konna yoru ni wa, yume mite,
I wish for... nakushita subete ni,
I wish for... ima mo.
I wish for... in this night, I dream,
I wish for... everything is lost,
I wish for... even now.
Lyrics belong to Ryuichi, J, and MCA Victor Music, taken from the Image album, MVCD-2 (track 12). Not like the words make any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway. Romanized and translated into English very badly by Mina-P, with desperately needed help, as always, by Mako-chan. Any comments or corrections can be mailed to Mina-P at Minako@senshigakuen.com.
