Tsubasa no Sekkeizu
Blueprint for Wings

Version 1.10
Note: I have very little to say about this song. It's simply one of my favorite V6 songs of all time. It's so incredibly beautiful in a very nostalgic, heart-breaking kind of way. It's also one of two songs (along with Generation Gap) written for V6 by Japanese artist Fujii Fumiya. As if I needed another reason to love the man. Do a little dance, indeed, Fujii-san. Mmmm....
One day aoi mokei hikouki
ano hi no kimi o noseteru
One day A blue model airplane
It carries memories of you from that day
One night hoshi to hoshi o tsunaide
tsubasa no sekkeizu kaita
One night Connecting star to star
We drew a blueprint for wings
"hiroi nohara o sagashi ni ikou
yume o kaze ni nosete
tooku e tobashite miyou"
"Let's go out and find a big field
We'll leave our dreams to the wind
And see if we can fly far away"
puropera o oikakete kimi to hashiritsuzuketa
onaji sora o mitsumete kimi to daichi o ketta
Chasing after the propellors I kept running with you
Gazing up at the same sky we kicked off from the ground
One day kowareta mokei hikouki
kimi wa tsubasa o hirotta
One day A broken model airplane
You gathered wings
"tooi mirai e yakusoku shiyou
kitto mata aeru yo
saa ikou sorezore no sora"
"Let's make a promise to the far off future
We'll definitely meet again
So let's go into our own skies"
puropera o tometa toki boku wa sukoshi waratta
shizumu yuuhi no naka de boku wa hitori ni natta
When the propellors stopped I laughed a little bit
In the sinking evening sun I was left alone
"hiroi nohara o sagashi ni ikou
yume o kaze ni nosete
tooku e tobashite miyou"
"Let's go out and find a big field
We'll leave our dreams to the wind
And see if we can fly far away"
puropera o oikakete boku wa hashiritsuzuketa
onaji sora o mitsumete boku wa daichi o ketta
Chasing after the propellors I kept running
Gazing up at the same sky I kicked off from the ground
Lyrics belong to Fujii Fumiya and Avex Trax, taken
from the V6 Very Best album, AVCD-11881~2 (disc 2, track 12). Not like the words make
any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway. Romanized and translated into
English very badly by Mina-P, with desperately needed help, as always, by
Mako-chan. Any comments or corrections can be mailed to Mina-P at Minako@senshigakuen.com.
